Everything is very good and very English, but I have to admit that the food item which most caused my eyes to twirl in their sockets is the homemade pate. I have not seen it on the tea menu for quite some time, but the gorgonzola spread and spinach dip are so good I hardly noticed. Now mind you these items are not in lieu of standard tea service. They are just little added touches in addition to scones, sandwiches, sweets and hearty tea.
