      Welcome to a communitea dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the most civilized of pastimes, the taking of afternoon tea. Herein you will find all manner of tempting tidbits to aid you in your search for the perfect cuppa. From tea rooms proper to tea entertainment, Southern California is brimming with opportuniteas.

      In addition to providing members a treasury of tea rooms and related businesses, we strive to keep you up-to-date by posting upcoming tea events on our FestiviTeas calendar page and noting the latest tea trends on our new PopulariTea-Trends page. And by member request, we will pick a different business to feature in depth on our new SpecialTea page every month, beginning October 2008.

      Our site's tea room listings include details on each establishment such as capacity, parking information, wheelchair access and so on, as well as photos and menus when available. Tea-goers desirous of owning a printed tea room guide may be interested in our pocket book size Tea Passport.

      While this site deals primarily with tea rooms that serve afternoon or high tea, we do feature those with a unique international flair. For popular British and Asian style establishments please click on the appropriate icons at the top of the Tea Rooms page for information. Please note we do not usually list Boba tea vendors.

      Most tea rooms carry tea goods for sale such as tea accoutrements and comestibles. And if your favorite teaery does not have what you're looking for in stock, chances are they will be willing to help you find somewhere that does.

      To complement your tea experience, many tea rooms provide musical and theatrical entertainment as well as children's parties and etiquette lessons for the young and the less so. Whatever your taste or style, there is a tea room nearby to satisfy your every tea craving and whim.
